Contract Highlights

Payment is required to reserve any order.

The client should provide thorough details and/or images of the design they are interested in, but DeeVa Sweets does not make exact replicas. The client will receive a cake unique to them.

Do not make payment if your invoice is incorrect or you need to make changes to design, date, delivery address, etc.

Balances must be paid by the due date for orders to be completed.
-
Plan to arrive on time for your pickup order as late fees may be incurred before your order is released.
Reservations and Deposits

All inquiries should be submitted using the inquiry form.

Responses to submitted inquiries will be answered via email.

DeeVa Sweets will answer general questions through email but questions regarding pricing will be referred to the inquiry form. DeeVa Sweets does not accept direct email, text, social media, or phone inquiries.

To reserve your date a 50% retainer fee must be paid. This retainer fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

A minimum $100 order is required to book.

An invoice will be sent by email that must be paid by its due date.

Orders are first paid first reserved. If your invoice is cancelled before payment your requested date is no longer available. An invoice does not guarantee reservation.

The remaining balance of your order must be paid by the due date listed on your invoice.

Under no circumstance will checks be accepted.
Expectations
-
The client is expected to clearly explain verbally or in writing what they expect from DeeVa Sweets. If a client needs to change colors, flavors, or theme they should contact DeeVa Sweets immediately. Changes cannot be made less than two weeks prior to their event date.

DeeVa Sweets does not make replicas. Exact copies, colors, designs, images, etc. are not guaranteed. Do not place your order if you do not agree with DeeVa Sweets having creative freedom with your order.

If the client makes a change that results in a higher order price they will be required to pay the additional fee within 24 hours to meet the new 50% retainer fee.

If the client makes changes that result in a lower amount order price their remaining balance will reflect the changes. Any changes that are made less than two weeks from the event date will result in no change of order price.
Cancellations/Refunds

Retainer fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

In the event the client wishes to cancel their order, the retainer fee will not be refunded.

Retainer fees cannot be applied to future dates. If the client wishes to reschedule they will be required to pay a new 50% retainer fee for the new date requested.

Refunds will ONLY be given if DeeVa Sweets fails to produce the order in full.

Refunds will not be given should the client misunderstand, misinterpret, or fails to read the contract.

Taste is based on personal preference. Refunds will not be given if the client does not like the taste of the product.

Colors are not always exact. DeeVa Sweets will work hard to provide the client with similar colors to their theme, but refunds will not be given if the colors do not match exactly.

If the client does not wish to accept the product upon delivery or pickup, there will be no refund given, unless the cake is completely damaged by DeeVa Sweets.

If a refund is required, DeeVa Sweets will refund the money within 14 business days after the event date.
Delivery
Delivery orders must be paid prior to delivery by the date listed on the clients' invoice. DeeVa Sweets will not make or release any product that has a balance owed.

Delivery Window

Delivery fees are calculated by time and distance. Check your invoice, BEFORE PAYMENT, to ensure the correct delivery address is reflected.

DeeVa Sweets will deliver to the event venue at the time agreed upon by the client. If the client needs to change the delivery time or venue this must be explained to DeeVa Sweets one week prior to ensure the adjustment can be made. An additional fee may be incurred at the client's expense.

At times, multiple clients will request the same delivery time. To ensure all parties receive their order before their event, DeeVa Sweets may ask to deliver your order 30-45 minutes earlier. DeeVa Sweets will confirm delivery time 24-48 hours before event date.

If the client needs to change the delivery time or venue this must be explained to DeeVa Sweets one week prior to ensure the adjustment can be made.

If the client does not wish to accept the product upon delivery there will be no refund given, unless the cake is completely damaged by DeeVa Sweets.

If a refund is required, DeeVa Sweets will refund the money within 14 business days after the event date.

The client assumes all responsibility for any damage to the cake once the cake leaves DeeVa Sweets possession. DeeVa Sweets assumes no responsibility for damages incurred during self-pickup or after delivery.
Delivery Types:
Where available, clients may choose the type of delivery provided. Delivery with setup will incur a higher fee.

Handoff Delivery: DeeVa Sweets will meet the client at their door or event table for product handoff. Client will be responsible for unboxing and displaying their own order

Delivery with Setup: DeeVa Sweets will bring your order to your event table and setup. Large orders such as wedding, quinceanera, etc. cakes will automatically include delivery with setup. Please make sure your displays and tables are ready for your order. If in the event, your table is not setup and DeeVa Sweets cannot complete setup, a refund will not be provided.

It is recommended that orders are delivered at least 1.5 - 2 hours before larger event.

A box will be provided for leftovers and has further instructions for serving.

Pickup
Pickup orders must be paid prior to pickup by the date listed on the clients' invoice. DeeVa Sweets will not make or release any product that has a balance owed.

Text when you are on your way to ensure your order is boxed and ready to go when you arrive.

When you arrive, text the description of your vehicle and DeeVa Sweets will place your order in your vehicle and may provide verbal instructions about refrigeration, shelf-life, and serving.

Please plan to arrive no later than the stated pickup window. DeeVa Sweets delivers orders promptly after pickups, and for this reason imposes a strict pickup window.
IF YOU ARE LATE FOR PICKUP:

You are given a 15 minute grace period after the stated pickup window.

After the grace period has expired, you have two options:

Have your order placed on a shelf outside, unattended, for self pickup.

You will be required to carry and load your order to your vehicle. DeeVa Sweets will not be available.

DeeVa Sweets is not responsible for any damage to your order that results from self-pickup.

If available, DeeVa Sweets will remain available with a late pickup fee detailed below. This fee must be paid by Venmo/CashApp before your order is released to you.

Pickups after the one hour window are not available.

Accommodations can be made in extreme cases, but is not guaranteed, and may be politely declined.

Orders not retrieved by the customer on the scheduled pickup day will be donated, at the client’s expense. DeeVa Sweets does not hold/save/store cakes past the scheduled pickup date.
The client assumes all responsibility for any damage to the cake once the cake leaves DeeVa Sweets possession. DeeVa Sweets assumes no responsibility for damages incurred during self-pickup or after delivery.
